The winner of the board design competition came to Lacanau yesterday from La Rochelle, France, to spend the week end with the Soöruz Team and discover the event. Relooking by Soöruz, meeting with the pro riders, official party of the event, interviews, photoshoots… Lisa lived an amazing time with her friend Sophie at Lacanau! Now she just can’t wait to see how will look like her board design in real… coming soon!

Glenn just made his heat against the South African Shaun Joubert and the Australians Jayke Sharp and Adam Robertson. He was third during the 15 first minutes and managed to ride two good waves before the end, pushing him to first place! He’s now qualified for the round of 16. Well done Glenn, and push it to the end !!

The 1st heat of round 3 began this morning at 7.20 to get the best wave conditions possible, before the tide comes too high. The level of the riders is very impressive, and the fight to continue the contest is rude! Joan Duru, winner of the 2009 Soöruz Lacanau Pro has been eliminated in his heat (Adrien Valéro as well!) against the Brazilians Alejo Muniz and Gabriel Medina. Who will be the winner this year?!!

Whereas some riders manage to qualify for next round, others fail their performance and ride worse than usual. The punishment is rude: elimination of the contest. In the unlucky team we can find the winner of the Oakley Pro Junior Charles Martin, and Nathaniel Curran who won the 2008 edition. Still they are very talented riders, and we say them good luck for the rest of the season.
